RBL would be pleased if anyone travelling to the UK and returning to North Cyprus  during the next  few weeks, could bring back some red, white and blue balloons as a donation to RBL which are needed for the Poppy Ball on 6th November.  The balloons need to be helium ready.

Message received from Fikri Toros – “On behalf of the Directors, the Committee and the members of the Kyrenia Chamber Choir, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your dedicated support to our concert last Friday evening”.   He also commented on how highly he valued the article on this website, with the lovely photos, which has undoubtedly contributed to the profile of the Choir and given a thorough insight to those who were not able to attend.

The NCCCT Bingo held at the Ravine in Alsancak on 15th October raised 1220TL for the charity.  There were 45 players, the most so far.  The jackpot of 1200TL was won by Hasan Babec who is the boss of the Ravine.   The next bingo night will be on the 19th November and there will be a new jackpot starting at 900TL plus the mini Mars bars for the lucky winners throughout the evening.

The Kyrenia Animal Rescue Treasure Hunt Walk was attended by 55 people who walked with 30 shelter dogs and they all enjoyed the walk, and the picnic which were followed by doggy games.  Alison & Derek Downey won the treasure hunt and 1,875TL was raised for the KAR charity.

The Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services held a 60’s Night at the Mountain View Hotel on 12th October and raised 3,150TL for the charity.  This was an excellent result and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
