“Friends Line Dancers”
The “Friends” Line Dancers are about to get back to their routine of classes at The Punjab in Lapta and showing what they can do at various events and after a break from the heat of summer Janet Bartholomew has resumed sending me information and photos of the various things the group have been involved in. So here is the latest news:-
“Friends“ Line Dancers, along with other performers were invited to take part in the 7th International Carob Festival, organized by Tatlisu Municipality where President Derviş Eroğlu attended the official opening ceremony accompanied by other dignitaries.
On arrival “Friends“ were immediately recognized by a group from Turkey who they had met previously on a dancing trip to Tarsus.
It was well organized and everything ran to plan with the audience on good form, so much so that during “Friends” third routine, danced to the rock-n-roll song “I Knew The Bride“, Steve had to leave his regular dance steps to accommodate a lady dignitary`s desire to jive on stage with him. Unfortunately it was cut short by a minor power failure, Steve looked somewhat relieved, but of course did not admit to this.
With normal service quickly resumed “Friends“ completed their act with resounding applause from the audience.

Wednesday September 19th. Beginner Level. Times 10:00 am – 12:00 noon. For more information telephone: 05338215185 / 05428820366
