Tulips/HTWCA have a couple of thank yous plus an upcoming event
We have a couple of thank yous plus an upcoming event to tell you about:
Lemar Loyalty Card
On 13th June 2017, Lemar presented representatives of Tulips/Help Those With Cancer Association with a cheque for 5,775.10TL. This is the result of the Lemar/Tulips Loyalty card which was initially launched in March 2016 whereby everyone who presented their loyalty card to the Lemar cashier on payment for their goods would receive a discount of 3% themselves plus a further 2% of the total would be donated to Tulips. This did not include cigarettes, newpapers, magazines and most alcohol.
We had already received 2,250TL on the 24 August 2016, so to date this scheme has raised a fabulous 8,025.10TL.
We really need everyone who has a card to keep using it, as every item, however small you may think it is, this money going to help Tulips. It doesn’t matter how little your bill is as “every kuruş” counts, you are helping cancer patients.

Barbara Jenkins and Phil Chappell celebrated their engagement at the Amore Restaurant, Alsancak on Saturday 10th June. Barbara and Phil very kindly suggested to all their guests that they make donations to Tulips in lieu of gifts which would be much appreciated by both the newly engaged couple and the Tulips cancer patients.
Many congratulations to Barbara and Phil on their engagement and to all their guests for raising 614TL!

Lemar Loyalty Card in support of Tulips

Lemar has officially launched the Lemar Loyalty card in aid of 
Tulips/Help Those with Cancer Association/KHYD.
The aim of the loyalty card is to provide all Tulips/Help Those With Cancer Association/KHYD supporters who have signed up for a Lemar Loyalty card to be entitled to an immediate 3% off their shopping when purchasing at a Lemar Store using the Loyalty Card and over and above this a further 2% will be donated to Tulips/Help Those With Cancer Association/KHYD charity.
At the end of each month the 2% donation can be collected by the charity from the Lemar Head Office in Lefkosa.
It does not cost anything to apply for a loyalty card with an immediate 3% saving on your bill and the charity receiving the extra 2%. The more people that sign up for the card the more money the charity will receive.
To sign up for a Lemar Loyalty Card, please send your name, email address and the store of which you would like to collect your card from to: kanser.cancer@hotmail.com. You will receive an email to advise you when your card is available for collection.
The loyalty cards can be used in any Lemar Supermarket across the whole of the TRNC. The only restriction is that no discount is available on Alcohol, Tobacco or Newspapers.
This kind of regular income is invaluable for the Association, with their current high monthly costs, to keep them up and running…..
Lemar are very keen to support our charity and they provided a Hamper for a fund raising event – the International Ladies Night held at the Mountain View Hotel on the 8th March 2016.
