Aliyev reaffirms Azerbaijan’s support for the TRNC

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev reaffirmed that Azerbaijan will continue to stand by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, emphasizing that this support will be sustained in the period ahead.

According to a statement by the Azerbaijani Presidency, President Aliyev held a meeting with President Tufan Erhürman within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) 2026.

During the meeting, President Aliyev congratulated President Erhürman and reiterated Azerbaijan’s support for the TRNC. The discussion also addressed opportunities for cooperation across a range of areas.
