Barak MX system is being transferred to South Cyprus piece by piece

The Greek Cypriot Administration has begun transferring the Israeli-made Barak MX air defence system to South Cyprus in phases.

According to a report in a Greek Cypriot newspaper, the second batch of the system has already been delivered.

The paper noted that the system will only become operational once all of its components have been transported and assembled on the island.

The gradual deployment of the Barak MX system underscores the ongoing militarization efforts of the Greek Cypriot side, drawing attention to regional security dynamics in the Eastern Mediterranean. (BRT)

Time for the UK Government to stop sitting on the fence

Seeing that the UK government has just recognized the so-called Palestinian state, perhaps it’s time for a courageous UK government to recognize the so-called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which will start a RESET in worldwide relationships on Muslim issues with other countries, also recognizing the TRNC.

Recognition of the TRNC would come as a profound and pleasant surprise to Turkiye, which may adapt its worldwide relationships accordingly.
