Tatar meets with Azerbaijani counterpart

President Ersin Tatar, who attended the 2025 Antalya Diplomacy Forum, has met with İlham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In a statement following the meeting that took place at the Nest Convention Centre, President Tatar stated that he had met with President Aliyev last in the Republic of Azerbaijan during an official visit.

“I am very pleased to have met President Aliyev, this time in the Republic of Türkiye, where we were able to discuss different issues in our meeting that lasted approximately 40 minutes,” President Tatar said.

President Tatar said he had expressed his gratitude to President Aliyev on his recent statements supporting the formal recognition of the TRNC by the international community and the plight of the Turkish Cypriot people, which he recently made at an international panel titled “Facing the New World Order”, held at ADA University in Baku.
