İskele Municipality 2nd Summer Event Has Ended
This year, İskele Municipality organized the 2nd edition Summer event for children between the ages of 6-12 which has come to an end.
Held between August 5th and September 10th; Children who participated in the İskele Municipality Summer Activities, which included activities such as Modern Dance, music, chess, folk dances, little chefs workshops, workshops (ceramic and clay making), art workshops (painting, charcoal, watercolour, pattern work, handicraft, stone painting), both learned and had fun.
After the completion of the activities on Tuesday, September 10th, the children who participated in the trip specially prepared for them in Famagusta, accompanied by their trainers and companions, were presented with participation certificates yesterday (September 12th).
While the children fully participated in the ceremony held at İskele AKM with the participation of İskele Mayor Hasan Sadıkoğlu, the children did not leave their families and educators alone. After the ceremony, the children visited the exhibition prepared in front of the İskele Municipality Culture House, which included their own handcrafted works, with their families.
CHILDREN BOTH LEARNED AND HAD FUN DURING THE EVENT
İskele Municipality Summer Activities, attended by children aged 6-12, were full this year.
Among the activities that ended on September 10th, there were activities in 7 different branches: Modern Dance, music, chess, folk dances, little chefs workshop, workshop (ceramic and clay making), art workshops (painting, charcoal, watercolour, pattern work, handicraft, stone painting).
The activities, which aim to allow children to spend their summer vacation more efficiently and to have fun while learning something new, were held at İskele Municipality Culture House, İskele Atatürk Cultural Centre, İskele Municipality Indoor Wedding Hall, İskele Municipality Picnic Restaurant and İskele Municipality Folk Dance Ensemble Study Hall.
Modern Dance course with Hasine Felek, Music/Choir course with Ziya Başkal, Chess course with Ahmet Türeller, Serah Menteşe, Folk Dances course with Iskele Municipality Folk Dance Ensemble members Damla Teber, Özen Özanlar, Nazmi Taran, Yücel Özdoğdu, Hakan Tekkanat, workshop Sude Gingi, art workshops with Olcan Güllü and Hülya Plaka, Little Chefs in the Kitchen course with Mahmut Taygun also participated in the İskele Municipality Summer Activities program.
WHEN THE ACTIVITIES WERE COMPLETED, THEY JOINED THE TRIP
The children, who spent every day to the fullest and learned while having fun, closed the Iskele Municipality Summer Activities with a trip to Famagusta on Tuesday, September 10th. Here, the children who visited Suriçi with their companions and trainers were given information about the places they visited by Iskele Municipality Culture, Art and Foreign Relations Advisor Özlem Kadirağa. The excitement of the children, who were happy to discover new places, was worth seeing.

Children who participated in the İskele Municipality Summer Activities, where there is at least one course every day from Monday to Friday, and successfully completed their courses, were given certificates of participation at a ceremony held at İskele AKM. At the ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, the Mayor of İskele made a speech. Congratulating all the children who participated in the month-long event, Mayor Sadıkoğlu also expressed his gratitude to the trainers who spent fun and quality time with the children for a month on a voluntary basis without expecting anything in return. At the end of his speech, the Mayor of İskele wished that the participation certificates received by the children would remain a good memory in their lives.
