The Tree and Forest Week will take place from March 21st to 26th. In anticipation, the students of “Colour Land” adorned the green area of Girne Municipality, located on Bahar Street, by planting cypress trees.
Girne Municipality council member and Deputy Mayor, Haşim Yücel, Girne Municipality Advisor, Mustafa İlgen, Park and Gardens Department Head, Mehmet Atak, as well as teachers and students, participated in the tree planting event held on Thursday, March 7th at 10:00.
Aim To Raise Environmental Awareness
The event was held to increase children’s environmental awareness, teach them their responsibilities towards nature and promise a green future to society.
