Due to popular demand “Shakespeare’s Ghost” will be performed again at Girne Municipality Chamber Theatre on Friday, February 16,  at 20:30 pm.  ‘Shakespeare’s Ghost’ was performed at Girne Municipality Chamber Theatre, throughout January to packed houses.

Girne Municipality Theatre Groups describe the play as suitable for people over the age of 16. It will be performed at Girne Municipality Chamber Theatre at 20:30. It was announced that those who want to watch the play can obtain tickets from www.kibrisbiletcim.com.

The Plot of The Play

The play begins with a king who seeks revenge and encounters Shakespeare’s ghost, who is never satisfied with revenge. The king is insatiable, arrogant, and the kind who can do all sorts of evil to retain his throne. On one hand, he is aware of all the evil deeds he has done and wants to take revenge on himself, on the other hand, the power bestowed upon him by the throne has enslaved him. The king does not want to let go of his throne as if he is glued to it. While Shakespeare’s ghost listens to what the king narrates, he is also busy writing an end for him in his own mind. The king’s fate will be determined by his dark mind.

In the play written by Ufuk Aydoğan and directed by Batuhan Oruç, Ömer Dündar, Kıvanç Giritli, Sehernaz Yardımcı, and Fatima Saatova are starring.

The lighting design In the play is by Mehmet Saygıer, and the set design is by Cem Taşlıovalı.
