Presidential Spokesperson Barış Burcu stated that President Mustafa Akıncı and the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiades will hold an informal meeting on Friday 9th August at 10:30 am.
Burcu pointed out that the venue for the meeting will be determined by consultations with the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative in Cyprus Elizabeth Spehar following her return to the island.
During a recent telephone call, President Akıncı and the Greek Cypriot leader Anastasiades came to an agreement to hold an informal meeting.
The last time President Akıncı and the Greek Cypriot leader held a meeting was 26th February 2019.
