Four political parties represented at the Turkish Grand National Assembly reacted to the decision of European Union Council of Foreign Relations which is to apply sanctions on Turkey because of the drilling activities in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Mehmet Muş, the AK Party Deputy Chair read the statement which noted that Turkey will not abandon its rights in the Eastern Mediterranean. Muş underlined that Turkey will not allow a fait accompli of ignoring Turkish Cypriots and their rights on the hydrocarbon issue and also Turkey will continue defending its sovereignty rights within its continental shelf.
