Department of the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation launched the transportation hotline 1181 in order to collect complaints with regard to vehicles and drivers within the public transportation sector.

The hotline, which is free of charge, was set up to act as an incentive for drivers and companies in establishing a safer and more reliable sector for passengers.

Passengers, who experience negativities with regard to the driver or the vehicle during their journey, will be able to forward their complaints by leaving their phone number, the route they travelled and the licence plate of the vehicle they travelled in. The hotline is open for complaints regarding taxis, minibus and buses.

The call centre for the hotline will be available during working hours, 8.00am-2.30pm from Monday to Friday and from 8.00am to 17.30pm on Thursdays. After hours there will be an answering machine recording the messages.
