Unbeaten League leaders Iskele Trabzonspor were given the fright of their lives as a battling Tatlısu fought back to equalise 4 minutes from time, only to suffer heartbreak by losing the match in injury time.

Result: TATLISU SERACILAR 3 1461 ISKELE TRABZONSPOR 5

Saturday, May 18: BTM League 2, Group 5 : Tatlısu Rauf Raif Denktaş Stadium.

A much improved Tatlısu performance but again they had to stomach defeat again, their fourth lost in succession. There were plenty of positives they can take from this match, fighting back after being 2-0 down after only 15 minutes, and then equalising again 4 minutes from time, only to see the game snatched away from them in injury time.

TATLISU SERACILAR SK v 1461 ISKELE TRABZONSPOR

There is a reason why Iskele are the unbeaten leaders, they are a well drilled and organised team. In AYBERK PAYAS they had the best player on the field, a talented midfielder who knows where the goal is, he oozed class throughout the match. Not far behind him was ABDULLAH KAYA who took both of his goals well, and was a constant danger.

For Tatlısu I thought CEM ŞARE in midfield was their best player working hard for his team. Tatlısu are a conundrum they have some talented individuals Musa, Göksel, Ramazan to name a few, but they are not gelling as a team, however they showed signs that they are getting there.

Iskele were 2 goals up in the first 15 minutes both scored by ABDULLAH KAYA (7, 14), both identical goals, with Tatlısu playing high up the pitch, playing a game of Russian Roulette with their offside trap. Both goals came from long clearances springing the offside trap for Abdullah to run on to beat Sinan in the Tatlısu goal.

Sinan kept Tatlısu in the game in the 20th minute blocking a close range shot from Murat Delibaş Then in the 30th minute Ayberk was put straight through and looked certain to score, until Sinan came out and bravely dived at the Iskele player’s feet.

Before that Tatlısu scored two goals in 2 minutes, firstly in the 28th minute GÖKSEL SÖYER finished on the left after being put through. Then in the 28th minute Iskele presented Tatlısu with a gift of a goal, when following a cross from the right, Serkan miss cued his clearance which went straight to RAMAZAN a few yards out at the far post to equalise for Tatlısu.

AYBERK PAYAS restored Iskele’s lead in the 36th minute after a deliberate handball from Tatlısu Captain Murat who was lucky to stay on the pitch.

Iskele should have increased their lead in the 50th minute when great work by Ayberk crossing from the right saw Yasın Kurt with the goal at his mercy but he blazed over the bar from a few yards out.

Tatlısu came back strongly Göksel put through Ramazan who shot over the bar, two minutes later in the 55th minute Ramazan put Göksel through but as goalkeeper Mert came out to him, Tatlısu’s leading goalscorer shot wide of the goal.

Tatlısu continued to press and were rewarded when they equalised in the 86th minute this time after being put through by Musa, GÖKSEL SÖYER finished clinically for a well deserved equaliser for Tatlısu.

Iskele were disappointing in the second half, but with 5 minutes of injury time being played Tatlısu were caught cold by two lightning breaks which resulted in goals for YASIN KURT (92) and the hard working MURAT DELIBAŞ (94). FULL TIME SCORE: 3-5.
