A delegation from the Municipality of Girne visited the Yenimahalle Municipality in Ankara and made observations at the facilities.
Girne Municipality council members Fırat Güçlüsoy and Hüseyin Ayrılmaz and some 
municipal employees visited Ankara Yenimahalle Mayor, Fethi Yaşar, and Cultural and Social Affairs Director, Memnune Uzun, at his office. The delegation also visited the Cultural and Social Affairs office of the Municipality and looked at the Nazım Hikmet Congress and Culture Centre, vocational courses, youth centre, social and sports facilities. The committee also visited the Mausoleum.
Ankara Yenimahalle Mayor, Fethi Yasar, said in his speech during the visit that the choir of Kyrenia Municipality Turkish Art Music gave a concert in Yenimahalle last year. He said that he was happy to see a delegation from Girne Municipality again in Ankara. Fethi Yaşar pointed out that more frequent meetings and cooperation should be made between the two Municipalities.
Memnune Uzun, the Director of Cultural and Social Affairs of 
the Municipality of Yenimahalle, emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two municipalities in the fields of culture and art and social affairs and emphasised that they are always ready to work with Girne Municipality.
The officials of Girne Municipality stated that the cooperation initiated between the two cities was significant and meaningful, and thanked the Mayor of Yenimahalle Municipality Fethi Yaşar and the Director of Culture and Social Affairs, Memnune Uzun. At the end of the visit, mutual gifts were presented.
