Akıncı and Erhürman to deliver the opening speech of the panel entitled “International Gas Trade and its Necessities” at the 9th Bosphorus Summit

Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman travelled to Istanbul yesterday (25/11/2018) to attend the 9th Bosphorus Summit.

The summit organized by the International Cooperation Platform will begin today. President Mustafa Akıncı will also deliver a speech at the opening of the summit.

State officials from 80 countries, business people and high-efficiency power participants will deliver speeches about world affairs at the 9th Bosphorus Summit.

The theme of this year’s summit is “Sustaining Peace and Development for All” and is being held on the 26th-27th-28th November 2018 under the auspices of the Presidency of the Turkish Republic.

The Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President Mustafa Akıncı and the Macedonian President,Gjorge Ivanov, will deliver opening speeches at the summit.

Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman will also address the participants tomorrow (27/11/2018) at the opening of the session entitled the “International Gas Trade and its Necessities”.

Özersay in Italy

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay travelled to Italy yesterday (25th November) to attend the meeting under the title of “Risks and Opportunities in the Eastern Mediterranean”.

Özersay will give a speech at the meeting regarding the issues of “Maritime Law and Fair Share of the Natural Resources in the Eastern Mediterranean: and their possible effect on Turkey and the TRNC”.

Özersay will return to the TRNC tomorrow night (27th November). The meeting which was organised by the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation will also be attended by experts in natural gas and energy issues from Germany, Russia, Israel, Italy, Turkey, South Cyprus and Greece.
