The Hope 4 Pets team are still soldiering on following the plea for help to enable them to keep the charity going, and many people have given them the support they needed.

So if the support and donations/subscriptions continue the future looks more promising for them to continue their work with the stray and abandoned animals of North Cyprus.

On the 8th November a quiz night took place at the Red Ribbon Restaurant in Karakum where around 50 people turned up to enjoy an evening’s entertainment with quizmaster Mick Prior who was assisted by DJ Ozzie with the music questions and of course Corinne who was taking care of the financial side and the raffle.   The theme was music and film/TV entertainment with a sheet of 40 questions, half to be answered before an interval and the raffle and then the remaining 20 questions.   It was nice to see Rob Astley win a large bag of dog biscuits in the raffle which will go a long way feed to his animal family.

The Red Ribbon had laid on a buffet supper, which was very good, and everyone was soon tucking into their food with a lot of conversation going on.

Then came the quiz.  We were only 2 in our team so we were entitled to 2 extra points on our final score, unfortunately however we did not do very well, with the memory not kicking in as it should.  Why on earth could we not remember the name of the actor who played Crocodile Dundee?  The winning team was Doz E Dogs who managed a very good score.

It was a very successful quiz which raised a grand total of 2,850TL, which will be a great help to Hope 4 Pets.   Mick said he was hoping to organise another quiz night before Christmas and information will be circulated as soon as this is arranged.
