Özersay met with Çavuşoğlu
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu at a meeting between the delegations in New York last night (24th September 2018).
In his statement to Turkish News Agency, Özersay said that they discussed the latest developments on the Cyprus issue and exchanged views.
Özersay continues his contacts in New York
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay is continuing his contacts in New York.
Özersay first met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the United Nations building yesterday.
Afterwards, he met with the Turkish National Defence Minister Hulusi Akar and then completed his bilateral meetings with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Mammadyarov.
Özersay, who also met with the UK Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Jonathan Allen, also attended the meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization, in which the TRNC is an observer member under the name of the Turkish Cypriot State, where he gave a speech.
President Akıncı will be travelling to New York today
President Mustafa Akıncı will travel to New York today (25th September) to meet with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
Akıncı will give a press meeting at Ercan Airport before leaving the TRNC.
The Akıncı-Guterres meeting will be held on 29th September, Saturday afternoon.
Akıncı is expected to hold high level bilateral contacts in New York.
