North Cyprus Events Calendar from 9th August 2018

A list of events you can look forward to in North Cyprus. For those charity fund-raisers, venues etc. who would like to include an event in the Weekly Events Calendar, contact Chris or Margaret at cyprusscene.com.

The Events Calendar is published every week on Thursday so please try to submit information you would like to be included by Tuesday evening each week.

The North Cyprus Forum events calendar is now incorporated on the cyprusscene website where you can register as a member and post your own events.

9^th August –Thursday	Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy. Starting at 7.30pm you can enjoy Clockwise (1986). 12TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn. There are also hot dogs and nachos available.. Reservations must be made – call 0533 839 8764

9^th August – Thursday	Spaghetti Junction, Catalkoy, quiz night in aid of Tulips starting at 8 pm. 50 questions and a table top extra. 5TL per person. Quiz will be split 50/50 to the winning team and Tulips. Raffle 5TL a ticket, winner chooses envelope for meal for 2 at Spaghetti Junction, bottle of wine, or money. If the money is not won on the night it rolls over.
10^th August – Friday	Blakes Lounge Bar and Bistro, Alsancak, will be featuring live music from Billy J Redif. 8pm til late. To book call 0548 839 4007.
10^th August – Friday	The Soulist Coffee and Music House, Alsancak will be featuring Lady M (Jazz) from 10pm. 25TL entrance.
11^th August – Saturday	Meryams Hotel, Catalkoy will be having a night of songs from the West End Musicals, with a 3-course dinner at 7.30pm. To book a table call 0392 824 5073.
13^th August – Monday	SAS Bar (previously The Venue), Turtle Bay, Esentepe, will be having a Bingo night with Martin from 8.30pm. Books 25TL
13^th August – Monday	Sea Breeze Restaurant, Kucukerenkoy will be holding a table top sale – 12 mid-day to 4pm in aid of the Vadili Dogs.
14^th August – Tuesday	The Kaya Palazzo Hotel, Alsancak will be having a BBQ with free wine, beer and soft drinks, plus a DJ, in support of CESV (112). 6.30pm to 9pm. Tickets 100TL per person can be reserved by contacting Delia on 0548 839 4007 or email deliarushbrooke@hotmail.com. Collection points for tickets will be confirmed later. All monies will be donated to CESV.
14^th August – Tuesday	The SeAngle Bar in Catalkoy will be featuring Andy Reay with live music from 8pm.
15^th August – Wednesday	The Soulist Coffee and Music House, Alsancak will be featuring Ed Sezener Trio from 10pm. 25TL entrance.

7^th September – Friday	The Olive Press Bowls Club, Lapta will be holding a quiz night in aid of KTW (Karsiyaka Turtle Watch) starting at 7.30pm. 5tl per person for the quiz and also there is a Brainbuster Question that rolls over each month until someone gets the correct answer, that is an optional buy at 5tl as well. 11^th September – Tuesday	Best Seller, Karakum will be having a book signing of Through the Third Eye by Olcay Akdeniz from 1pm. A very enjoyable book.
13^th September – Thursday	RBL will be having an Alternative Quiz and Race Night at The Fez, Catalkoy at 7.30pm with chicken and chips supper – price tbc. The event will be in aid of the Poppy Appeal.
~~15^th September – Saturday~~ SORRY – THIS IS NOW CANCELLED	The King Is Back 2018 World Tour, an international Las Vegas style Elvis show, with 10 musicians and vocalists on stage, plus the incomparable Ben Portsmouth as Elvis. This will be staged at Girne Amphitheatre. An event not to be missed. In aid of the Civil Emergency Service Volunteers (CESV).
15^th September – Saturday	British Residents Society – Blood Donor Day at Dr Akcicek Hospital, Girne from 10am. If you are able to give blood please try to attend.
19^th September – Wednesday	Supper Club at the Colony Garden featuring The Bellevilles with a dedicated Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons show. The event is in aid of the Civil Emergency Service Volunteers (CESV). 7pm Welcome cocktail. followed by 3 course set meal with vegetarian option, and all local drinks plus imported labels from 7.30 – midnight. Tickets cost £55 per person and will be available last week of August. 19^th September – Wednesday	RBL will be holding Proms in the Park at the Wild Duck, Lapta. 20TL for members, 15TL for non-members. There will be food available and you can also bring your own picnic. Bar open for food and drinks at 4pm and gate open from 6pm.
