Kyrenia Animal Rescue (KAR) have sent us some of their news for week ending Friday 20th July, and they have some really nice successes to pass on to our readers.
Happy ending for 5 little furbabies
Our 5 little ‘film stars’ from last week have been offered their ‘furever’ home, and the even better news is that they get to stay together! Following our video appeal, a couple stepped forward saying they wanted to offer all five a home to keep the little kitten unit together.
Callie, Mowgli, Sheba, Prince and Freya all left KAR for a safe and happy future.
July 20th (today) is the TRNC national holiday to celebrate Peace and Freedom – our 5 kittens also have found their own Peace and Freedom.

Happy ever after for Poppy
As most of you are aware our little warrior, Poppy, having survived a car accident and a severely infected paw, has been with a foster home for the past month. When she arrived 
she was traumatised and was not able to socialise with either other dogs or humans.
Last week it was decided that her recovery was complete and she was placed publicly for adoption. In stepped her new family Mick and Karen. They had previously given another centre dog a home after seeing her at the Xmas Bazaar. Completely understanding her situation, they wanted to also offer Poppy a new home and the chance of a secure and loving future.
We think these photos speak for themselves. This was after a few hours in her new home. Please keep the faith and offer rescue dogs a chance of happiness. It works and is so rewarding.
If you feel that you could be a fosterer then please contact us – you will be supported throughout and although you inevitably become emotionally attached, the sense of achievement in knowing that you are giving that dog/cat/puppy/kitten a chance to be successfully “furever” homed is so rewarding.
