President Mustafa Akıncı and his wife, Meral Akıncı attended Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s ‘Presidential Inauguration Ceremony’ yesterday (9th July).
Twenty-two heads of state, twenty-eight Prime Ministers and Parliamentary Speakers, and the Secretary Generals of six international organizations also attended the ceremony, which was held at the Presidential Islamic Ottoman Social Complex in Ankara.
President Akıncı and Meral Akıncı returned to the TRNC after attending a dinner given by Turkish President Erdoğan in honour of the guest statesmen last night (9th July).
According to state tradition, Erdoğan will pay his first official visits to the TRNC and Azerbaijan today.
An official welcoming ceremony will be held at 19:15 tonight (10th July) at the TRNC Presidency, after which President Erdoğan will have a private meeting with President Mustafa Akıncı, at 19:30.
Akıncı and Erdoğan will hold a press conference after their working dinner.
