Noreen , his wife who will accompany him on this visit to Kibris is a much in demand music teacher, accompanist and respected choir leader in her own right. One of the key events for St Andrew’s choir members is  on Thursday morning when during the initial workshop which Noreen will lead, introducing a range of new music to members.

Other events of the week include a FESTIVAL OF FAVOURITE HYMNS, all of which have been chosen by parishioners, and to which everyone is invited, will take place on THURSDAY 7TH JUNE AT 7.30PM.

Music Week concludes on Sunday 10th June at a Sung Festal Eucharist in the church at 10.30am.

Earl Moffitt, Director of Music at St. Andrew’s told Cyprus Scene, “I am particularly pleased to have Martin & Noreen visit Kyrenia and St. Andrew’s for the first time. It has been my  pleasure to share in their extensive experience and expertise in Armagh, over many years. I am also thrilled that our choir members here (most of whom are “swallows”!) are all here for this special week of music making. They have given up much personal time & talent to prepare, in particular for the Friday night charity concert….this promises to be an evening of good music interspersed with popular organ solos, poetry reading and audience participation. Refreshments for all present on Friday evening,  will be served  in the precincts of the church afterwards.  We look forward to a great week of music making and extend a warm welcome to those attending the various events”
