In celebration of 23rd April – National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü, invited children from primary schools to visit his office.
The children were from primary schools in Alsancak, British Necat, 
Catalkoy, Girne American, Karaoglanoglu, Karsiyaka, Lapta, Nature, April 23rd, and Şht Hasan Cafer. Selin Tek and Aylin Akyüz from Karşıyaka Primary School symbolically sat on the Mayor’s office chair.
Mayor Güngördü celebrated the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day for the children of the world and gave gifts to the children visiting his office.
Güngördü: You Are Our Future :
Nidai Güngördü stated in his speech that the future of the world is in the hands of the children and he has given great responsibility to the children of today who are the great ones who will ensure peace.
Güngördü said “You are our future. If you are raised well, the world will be beautiful and in peace. In the future you will represent our country, so you will be the architects of the future”.
