President Erdoğan: “We will show same determination to protect rights of our country and TRNC”  

The President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stated that it should be known very well that Turkey is committed to protecting the rights of both Turkey and the TRNC in relation to the hydrocarbon reserves in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Speaking at an event in Turkey earlier this week, President Erdoğan said “I hope that our firm stance on the drilling activities continuing offshore around Cyprus has sent a clear message. We want to make it especially clear that the rules of international law apply in the exclusive economic zones, and everyone must abide by them.”
