The President of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Talip Atalay, visited places of worship in Paphos yesterday, speaking with the congregation and listening to their requests.
Atalay and his delegation visited Camii Kebir (Ebubekir Mosque) in Paphos, and the grave of İbrahim Sıtkı Efendi, one of the most important personalities and scholars of his time and the founder of the Baf Medresa. The delegation placed headwear and a special cover on the grave.
Atalay then visited Dip Paphos Mosque, which remains open for worship, despite ongoing restoration work. Atalay listened to the problems and demands of the congregation, who mentioned the restoration of the mosque and the shortage of places of worship.
