Thirteen companies from the TRNC are attending the 2018 Dubai Gulfood Fair in coordination with the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry this week.
Gulfood is one of the world’s largest annual food and drink trade events, where new and top products from the global food industry are showcased, and producers meet with their supply chains. The fair started yesterday (19th February) and will be open until 22 February.
At the TRNC stand, visitors can taste baked goods, ice cream, tahini, Turkish delight, olive oil, cheeses such as halloumi, and various coffee beans including Turkish coffee and espressos.
President of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, Candan Avunduk, stated that producers have the chance to promote their products to the many visitors from the industry.
Avunduk noted that the TRNC’s first attendance at the fair was in 2007, and that since then, they have improved commercially by increasing the number of participating companies.
