
Girne Municipality is continuing with the Infrastructure, Environment and Landscape Arrangement Project at Ozanköy Turkish Cemetery.
The work of Ozanköy Turkish Cemetery infrastructure, environment and landscaping is being carried out by a contractor company under the supervision of the architects and engineers of the Municipality of Girne and will include drinking water (fountains), lighting, parking, roadway expansion, inner roads, pavements and landscaping work. Benches will be placed for visitors to the cemetery, and a covered arbor will be built to cater for sunny and rainy weather.
Güngördü: The cemetery has been neglected for years
Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü stated that the people living in Ozanköy, which is part of the Municipality, had performed burial procedures and visits under difficult conditions for many years.
He stated that the project for the cemetery, which has been neglected for years created by mud and dust, will give a contemporary appearance and that thanks to the project it will make burial procedures and visits of the people more comfortable.
