The Municipality of Girne is taking care of the speed humps, pedestrian crossings and curb stones in the areas of schools in preparation for the new school year.
Girne Municipality started to work on erased road lines and pedestrian crossings and traffic warning signs in the areas where schools are located due to the start of 2017-2018 education year. The works to be carried out by Belpaz Investment Company, a subsidiary of Girne Municipality, are at Ozanköy Osman Turkay Anaokolu, 23 April Primary School, Anafartalar High School, Karaoğlanoğlu Primary School, Şht Hasan Cafer Primary School, and Girne American University.
Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü said that they would paint the speed humps, pedestrian crossing and curb stones near the schools within the municipality boundaries. He also stated that they had started with the pedestrian crossing which had faded paint on the extension and intersection in Şht Hasan Cafer Elementary School, English School of Kyrenia and Suat Günsel Girne University.
