Hatice Salih Kerimgil sent us information about this year’s overnight vigil taking place on Wednesday 19th July.
This year the People’s concert will be given by Rafet El Roman – The Bursa Municipality Mehter group will be performing as well.
Events start at 21.30 at the Yavuz Çıkarma Beach – following the concert the traditional torch light procession will take place to the beach to commemorate the Turkish soldiers who landed on the 20th July.
There will be a firework display towards the end of the vigil
Everyone is invited. The vigil will end with the Imams call to morning prayers, the imams will also be saying prayers for the fallen during the commemoration on the beach.
The beach is near the Ice club- escapor yavuz çıkarma beach
