Girne Municipality new Service Building, Cultural and Recreation Centre

The new Girne Municipality Service Building, Cultural and Recreation Centre development – Second Stage Project will cost 16,643,320.00 TL.  The Centre will be completed within one year.

The signing ceremony was held on 25th May in respect of the Girne Municipality Service Building, Cultural and Recreation Centre, Second Stage Project.  Girne Mayor, Nidai Güngördü, and Korman Construction Limited Director, Fuat Kutlu, signed the tender contract.

Project: The completion of all works to the ready-to-serve service building of the structural work, and the exterior work of the completed Cultural Centre.  Girne Municipality will use its own resources to fulfil the dream with 365 days to complete the targeted project, which will cost 16,643,320.00 TL. The Office of Development and Economic Cooperation of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia will contribute 2 million TL for the Girne Cultural Centre Multi-purpose Hall.

Güngördü: The most expensive project.

Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü noted that they would make a living space beside the city service building, and in the statement made about the project, Nidai Güngördü pointed out that the project is not considered as a service building, it is designed with a green area, parking, walking paths, recreation areas and connection to the city with a pedestrian route.  Güngördü emphasized that the project, to be funded by the Municipality, is the most expensive public project in recent years.
