New, young, talent showed itself in the Creditwest Autumn Cricket League!

The Creditwest 2016 Autumn Cricket League match of 13th of November, held between Gentlemen of Girne and Eastern Mediterranean University gave just that thrill
The visitors, EMU team Captain Sohail Khilji, was lucky to win the toss and chose to field. Janwali Khan and young Uwais Khan and went into lead Gentlemen from the front. Unfortunately Janwali Khan and one down Bilal Afridi, both were out in the third over of the match and Gentlemen were continuously losing wickets. But the new, outstanding young talented, Uwais Khan didn’t lose his confidence. The other batsman from the Gentlemen, Iskender Zaman was successful in building a partnership with young Uwais Khan. The fighting Uwais Khan, had a brilliant innings of 48 runs, with a help of three fours and four sixes and Iskender Khan 20 runs, and the Gentleman succeeded, in setting a 122 runs target for EMU to follow, with the loss of 10 wickets.
In reply, as usual, Sohail Khilji and Majid Khan came to open the batting for EMU and straight away Captain Sohail Khilji tried to put pressure on, with his batting attack but the Gentlemen attack bowler, Janwali Khan, frustrated Sohail Khilji, when Janwali Khan clean bowled him with a beautiful out swing delivery, for only 12 runs. After that, only player Mayed Hussain, continued the battle alone for 28 runs not out, one six and four fours but none of the EMU batsmen could stand against the Gentlemen bowlers and EMU were all bowled out on 95 runs.
The Gentlemen won their fifth match in the Creditwest 2016 Autumn Cricket League by 26 runs.
The Creditwest 2016 Autumn Cricket League was in its crucial stage on 30th October 2016. The first match when Middle East Technical University beat The Lefke European University 12 runs. METU succeeded to make 110 runs, with a loss of 10 wickets. In reply, to 110 runs, LEU was all out 106 runs, in 19th over. Khaild Khan was the man of the match with four wickets in four overs.
In the second match, The Gentlemen of Girne beats The Cyprus Lions with 16 runs. Top batsmen and man of the match was Bilal Afridi who scored 62 runs the highest of the Creditwest 2016 Autumn Cricket League until now. The Gentlemen of Girne made 162 runs target in 20 overs, with a loss of three wickets.
During the week of 6th of November 2016, a big upset happened, when the Eastern Mediterranean University (previous Champions in the Creditwest 2016 spring league) lost their first match against The Cyprus Lions, by only six runs. Cyprus Lions batted first and made 116 runs in 20 overs all out. And EMU were all out on 110 runs.
In the second match, The Near East University took over The Middle East Technical University. The NEU batted first and set 156 runs Target for METU, METU were all out on 145 runs in 19 overs.
