An event was arranged at Jessic Restaurant and Bar in Karsiyaka to celebrate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It was also the occasion of the end of the Rotary Club of Kyrenia Liman Presidency Year of Hakki Muftuzade and although included at short notice everything came together very well.
We have received some information about this successful event which is shown below:-

“The Rotary Club of Kyrenia Liman have enjoyed another great fundraising day at Jessic Bar & Restaurant in Karsiyaka.
We spent the afternoon of Sunday 12th June celebrating the Queen’s 90th Birthday, raising 2350TL for local causes, and enjoying some really excellent live music and barbeque.
“We really appreciate the overwhelming support we have received from the British Ex-pat community.” said Rotary Club President Hakki Muftuzade, “100% of the money raised by our Rotary Club on the day will go to deserving causes in the Kyrenia area.”
Over the past couple of years the Rotary Club of Kyrenia Liman has contributed to Karakum Special Needs School, an operation to restore hearing for a deaf boy in Lapta, the Patient Transport Vehicle for the Dialysis Unit at Girne Hospital, the Lefkosa ‘House of Hope’, and many more projects helping those living in North Cyprus.
A very big thank you to Mus of Jessic’s – over the past 18 months his support has helped our Club raise over 10,000TL, all of which has gone straight back to help the local community. A special mention also needs to go in appreciation of the hard work of Pauline (Tina Turner), Peter (Kind of Swing) and Ian, who made the afternoon and evening so successful.
