Due to popular demand we are transmitting again, the show when I went along with my camera crew to the home of Chris Elliott and Margaret Sheard of cyprusscene.com to meet their friend Ismail Veli.
Ismail Veli is a keen historian and has been a leading writer for cyprusscene.com for the past 2 years. At the age of 6 he left the Cypriot village of Lurucina with his family and travelled by ship to the UK where they started a new life and he has lived in London ever since.
However for the past six years he has made extensive research about the people and village where he was born, and is currently in the process of writing a PhD thesis and also a book. Ismail Veli is a very knowledgeable man who has a lot to share, so be sure to watch his interview on my Vox Pop show on BRT2.
