A list of events you can look forward to in North Cyprus. For those charity fund-raisers, venues etc. which would like to include an event in the Events Calendar, please contact me at www.cyprusscene.com We have a policy of support and promotion for legal entertainers only in the TRNC.

Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak – Open mic night every Saturday at 7.30pm…. Music from 7.30pm to 11pm but people can still remain

after this time and socialise…. Food will be available but please book… Vicki and Unal will be donating money from the evenings to Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services from donations, raffles, bingo etc. so different every week… To book contact Vicki on 0533 835 5133..

Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy. Starting at 8pm you can enjoy Dirty Harry (1971)…. 12TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn. There are also hot dogs and nachos available…. There will be a prize on the night for the best prop associated with the movie….To book call 0533 839 8764…

13^th September – Sunday

Bellapais Abbey – 8pm… Rauf Kazimov will be introducing 10 piano students who will be giving a Recital… An opportunity to hear the work of talented young pianists….

16^th September – Wednesday

Children in Need – Supper Club event at The Colony Garden…. 7pm with welcome cocktail…3-course set meal with vegetarian option – please let Laurence know if you require veggie option …. £55 per person including local drinks 7.30pm to midnight…. Entertainment with Roy G Hemmings of the Drifters and Disco fame and the Prim-ettes with wonderful soul music…. RBL present their pantomime Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves at the Chateau Lambousa Theatre… There are 300 tickets available for each performance which will be 3 evening – curtain up at 7.30pm…and 2 matinees for the children (26^th and 27^th) Curtain up at 10am….
