Raising money for TULIPS (Help Those with Cancer)

Having published many articles about the events associated with the Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble 2015, we would like to round off this year’s event with a lovely story of a young man who took part in the Run. We have been given the following information by Committee Member, Sue Steel, and think it is a very fitting finalé to yet another very successful fundraising series of events for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).

Taygun Derviş, aged 11, a student at GAU, who won the EFRAR 2015 2km run but left before the presentation ceremony, was presented with his trophy and certificate on the 18^th April.

The Ferrari on a plinth and framed certificate were presented to Taygun by Mr Yalchin Halil, Managing Director of TECH911 Trading Limited at the Porsche showroom in Ozanköy.

Accompanied by his family Taygun was then treated to a spin in an actual red Ferrari driven by Mr Halil.

The EFRaR Committee wishes to thank all the children who took part this year and hopes to see them in 2016.
