Yorgancıoğlu: “Our collocutor is T&T Company”
In his press statement before the Council of Ministers Meeting, Prime Minister Özkan Yorgancıoğlu informed about the services started regarding the Ercan Airport tender, sports office, preparation payment for teachers and services started towards the elderly..
Stressing that problems experienced between the two partners who won the tender of Ercan Airport do not concern the government and their collocutor is T&T Company, Prime Minister Özkan Yorgancıoğlu said that they will make the necessary studies not to allow a delay for the Ercan issue.
Furthermore, adding that if they face a problem, they will go to another tender or design the developments as the government, Yorgancıoğlu expressed that they will receive the opinion of the Attorney General on the issue of the sports office and they had started studies for taking the issue of the sports office to the assembly.
Guarantee from Pavlopulos for “United Hellenism Front”
Pavlopulos said before leaving South Cyprus that Greek Power (ELDIK) will stay here in order to impose a sustainable solution to the Cyprus problem together with the Greek Cypriot National Guard Army in South Cyprus.
According to Greek Cypriot daily Fileleftheros, Pavlopulos argued that it would be to the advantage of Turkey if they improve their relations with Greece and said “If we stay alone, Hellens, Greeks and Cypriots will all struggle together”.
Furthermore, Pavlopulos said that ELDIK’s staying in the island has national targets and added that “ELDIK’s struggle is common with the struggle of Greek Cypriot Armed Forces. This is Hellenism’s struggle for freedom”.
Membership Status to Association of Cyprus Turkish Municipalities
Chairman of the Association of Cyprus Turkish Municipalities and Gönyeli Mayor – Ahmet Benli said that in the previous year they were welcomed as a guest but this year they were accepted as a member.
Benli said “Turkish Cypriots’ status is returned. Our local administrators have permanent seats at the European Council from now on.”
Furthermore, Benli said that a delegation from Europe will arrive in Cyprus in May, 2016 for making supervision and the report of observers will be a chance for the Turkish Cypriots. Benli expressed “I hope this report will produce positive results for unification and a solution in Cyprus”.
