The North Shield Bar at Le Chateau Lambousa

On one of our fairly frequent visits to Le Chateau Lambousa Hotel, we were introduced to Cathy Bevan who has recently taken over the management of the North Shield Bar at Le Chateau. We had a long chat with Cathy and she gave us some information about her background and felt it would be nice to let her many friends in the area know where she is and what she is doing.

Cathy has now supplied us with information to share with her friends and also our other many readers.

Keeping the Record Straight

Hello Everyone,

Many of you may know me as Cathy from Mambo Bar.

I just wanted to inform you all that since leaving my dear Mambo in August 2013, Roger and I enjoyed a lovely rest and had some breaks away in Turkey.

Now however to ensure you have the correct information.

After many wonderful offers of employment and much consideration I decided to accept the responsibility of Bar Manager at The North Shield Bar in Le Chateau Lambousa Hotel. It has been lovely seeing old customers, friends and meeting new people since I have been at the hotel.

We at the hotel are currently working on our Christmas packages and will inform you about these as soon as we are able to release the details.

In the Bar all our Beers are now 8tl for draught and 50cl bottles and we have a new menu planned. We will be happy to discuss any concerns with you when you visit.

Some things that I would like to be able to offer in the bar has to be channelled through the hotel and this process can take time – please be patient and all good things come to those who wait.

I would really like to welcome you in the bar myself but this is not always possible as I am part of the hotel management and often pulled for other duties or meetings, If I don’t seem to be around please ask for me if you wish.

We found Cathy to be so enthusiastic about her new role and she is determined to make The North Shield Bar a “must” place to visit.

Having written many articles about Le Chateau Lambousa Hotel, we were aware that a British style pub was to be located within the hotel and when it was completed we were amazed at the authentic features which had been included, it really is a lovely place and what better than to go along and have a pub lunch or an evening meal in a beautiful setting with the added charm of the hotel itself to enjoy.
