The RBL stall at Lambousa Saturday market will be closed from 2nd August, re-opening on 6th September…

Richard Chamberlain will be holding an exhibition of his photographs at the Raif Denktas Culture and Congress Centre in Famagusta… The Mayor of Famagusta will officially open the exhibition at 7.30pm on the 5th September… The exhibition will be open from 10am to 5pm each day…..   A chance to see Richard’s wonderful photography on display….

9th September – TuesdayNCCCT logo NCCCT Coffee Morning resume…. The first after the summer break will be at The Lodge in Catalkoy starting at 10.30am.
9th September – TuesdaySt Andrews v.small St Andrew’s Church Hall – Menmeet at 11am….   There will be a talk by John Hughes-Wilson entitled “Mysteries of World War 1”…. All men welcome.

Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be resuming their Afternoon Tea Talks at the Mountain View Hotel at 3pm…. 11th September – ThursdayCinema equipment video camera  and film reel Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy.   Starting at 8pm you can enjoy Back to the Future (1985) …12TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn.   There are also hot dogs and nachos available….There will be a prize on the night for the best prop associated with the movie….To book call 0533 839 8764…
16th September – TuesdayEsentepe Fun Run 2014 new logo  “Wave Rave” – Pirate themed boat trip on The African Queen setting sail from Girne Harbour at 3pm returning around 9pm….Meal with meze, salad and fruit. £20 per adult, £12.50 under 14’s and free for under 5’s…. There will be discounted drinks available…Music, karaoke, quiz, raffle and disco and prize for best dressed pirate….Places limited to 70 pirates so booking needs to be arranged by calling Art on 0533 861 4873, Brian on 0533 833 3468 or boat owner Mr T on 0542 877 0516.This event is the first of the 2015 Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble in aid of Tulips.

21st September – SundayTulips Veni Vici in Lapta will be Cooking Pasta for Tulips. Minimum of 500 and hopefully up to 1000 pasta dishes will be cooked between 11am and 11pm. 5 pasta dishes to choose from including one vegetarian for 15TL, of which 10TL will be donated to Tulips. Eat in or take away….DJ Mike will be providing music in the evening…Go along with friends or as a team and help Veni Vici to achieve their goal. Who knows it may be a world record.
22nd September – Monday6. Dogankoy Church as it is now Dogankoy Church will be holding a talk by Richard Chamberlain about his photograph in Cyprus 1954 and 2014 starting at 7pm….   There will be an opportunity to obtain Richard’s 2015 Calendar and his previous and new books….A donation towards the upkeep of the church would be appreciated…Places are limited so please reserve a seat through Paula Shirley on 0533 830 3256 or by email to paula.shirley@hotmail.com
