Bozkır added that the ones who earn their income from continuation of the Volkan BozkırCyprus problem are effective in the deadlock of the Cyprus problem.

  1. GCs will never grant us equal rights and many TCs have come to realise this intransigent political view point. The only thing that we need is for the embargoes to be lifted, and that is not completely under the GCs control. It is they who will be begging us for help in a not too distant future and by then we will be less forgiving.

    • Thank you Oxolobs for your comment, and the detail in your other comment was noted.

  2. This comment by Volkan Bozkir is similar to views I have expressed many times – “Bozkır added that the ones who earn their income from continuation of the Cyprus problem are effective in the deadlock of the Cyprus problem.”

In simple terms, all the hangers on around the negotiations would be out of work if a settlement were to be reached. After 40 years it has become a “nice little earner”!!!!! Those that know me will appreciate my cynical views!!!!!

    • Thanks for your comment David. We welcome all comments so encourage your friends also to give their views.

  3. I guess we can say Greeks will always be Greeks but the role EU played in fossilizing this conflict is truly appalling. The fact that they have not moved a finger to address the wrongs, especially after 2004 is simply inexplicable. Now EU is fully a party to the dispute and has no constructive role to play, except to lift the isolation. It should have been the other way around. Keep up the good work.

    • Thank you Murat, yes the EU has created this unbalance situation but will they admit making mistakes? We have been waiting for the Greek Cypriots to do just that for past 50 Years
