I think an accurate description of me would be just a little snap happy when it comes to taking a photograph or two or twenty, I am far from anything like professional but it is a hobby that I now pursue on a regular basis and one I might add that I thoroughly enjoy with great passion.

The thrill of capturing a flower bursting with natural beauty or a bug on the beach just going about his business of burying himself in the sand is just far too much for me to ignore.

I am not sure if everyone can also see objects or scenes in the same way that I do but the thought of just taking off on a regular road trip to capture life in a picture thrills me no end, I often dream of going off to a village and finding that shot of an elderly lady or gentleman with a million wrinkles or the innocent child with the biggest tear drop eyes that you have ever seen, I fail to walk past a side street without looking into it and seeing yet another scene waiting for me to capture it.  I see beauty and interest in most things that I am not quite sure all others see, or I ask myself do they?

Maybe I am just a crazy lady that likes to take photographs and just maybe I see the world with different eyes but I do not think so.

Lately I have found myself taking more and more pictures and I have even used my mobile phone if my camera is not to hand with, I might add, some fairly reasonable results, well I was happy with them.

So now is the time for the dream to become a reality and my intentions are within the next few weeks or so to get out and about with camera in hand and get those shots, so if you see a crazy lady in the middle of nowhere taking pictures I think it would be reasonably safe for you to assume that it may well be ’Snap happy’ me.

Over the past few weeks I have been capturing a little of the plant life in Cyprus and as I have posted these photographs there has surprisingly been a great interest from my friends all over the world with many of them also taking and posting pictures of the plant life in their gardens and sharing them with us, this then developed into the idea that a few of our readers may also enjoy seeing the pictures so I have now been encouraged by Chris Elliott to put a few up for you all to see each week, I just hope you all enjoy them and you never know I may even get to your area to take a few.
