Özersay gives a conference in London School of Economics
Turkish Cypriot Negotiator – Kudret Özersay gave a conference entitled “The Missing Element in Solution of the Cyprus Problem” organized in London School of Economics (LSE) affiliated to the University of London which is one of the most prestigious universities in the UK.
Negotiator Özersay underlined that two sides reached a compromise related to the key features and distinctive characters of the new partnership through the Joint Statement, but the steps regarding the process itself have not been involved in the same statement.
Özersay stated that one of the problems experienced in the process is that the Greek Cypriot side strays away from the convergences agreed in the past and added that the major missing element in the process is a road map. Özersay emphasized that structuring the negotiations with a road map has great importance for reaching a conclusion through the process.
