The Foreign Residents in the TRNC (TFR)

“Stammtisch” at Sea Point in Lapta

The summer is inevitably approaching and the TFR moved its weekly get-together (“Stammtisch“) back to the Sea Point Restaurant in Lapta a few weeks ago.

Many of the “swallows”, i.e. members who do not spend the whole year in Cyprus, have as well flown in again and therefore the meeting every Friday afternoon is well attended.

The location, right next to the seashore, has good service, and the opportunity to exchange the latest information and gossip is making good mood among the participants.

The TFR is, to my knowledge, the only club for foreign residents in Northern Cyprus that offers this kind of informal and pleasant meetings on a weekly basis. Therefore, it is not surprising that we get more and more popular.
