May Fair in aid of KAV
By Margaret Sheard
There are many charities which do so much for cancer sufferers but it would be a wonderful achievement if research could wipe out cancer altogether and for this reason it is so important to support cancer research worldwide and especially KAV, here in North Cyprus, where numbers of people with cancer are increasing.
There have been many events held in North Cyprus for this very worthwhile cause and many will remember the Orchid Walk which has become a very well attended and popular annual event. To see the article about this event in 2014 click here. There are, however, many other events held such as coffee mornings and we have been advised of another which is to be a May Fair at the Wild Duck in Lapta on Sunday 25th May starting at 1pm.
This looks like it is going to be a fun-filled day and we can look forward to music from Dawn and the Man in Black, The Kibris Line Dancers, The Friends Line Dancers, games for the children, raffle and lotto draw and much more. There is also going to be Maria with her sponsored head shave, well done Maria, what a wonderful thing to do – you are a star. From 7pm there will be The Scratchband Ed and Keel, and so it goes on. Such a lot of entertainment to suit everyone’s taste.
There will be food and drinks available and the entry charge is 5TL which will be donated to KAV plus entrance to the raffle.
