Plea for help for Yen
By Margaret Sheard
We have received some lovely news from Steve Sydenham Snr. that a donation of 300TL has been made to help Yen to return to Vietnam to join her husband and little boy. It is so nice to know that there are some kind and compassionate people around.
All will be revealed at the fun night which is to be held to raise money to help Yen on Monday 19th August at the Habana Pool Bar, Santoria Village from 6pm ’til late.
This will be a nice evening, with a raffle and tombola and if anyone would like to contribute any unwanted gifts they will be gratefully received. These can be dropped off to Steve Tel; 0533 875 0829. Or if you live nearer to Girne then contact Sue Drumm on 0533 8400012. Or email Sue at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Alternatively of course you can drop them off at Steve’s book stall at Lemar Alsancak Market on Friday evening 6-10pm or Monday daytime 10-3pm or at Lemar Catalkoy Market on Saturday 10-3pm

Yet more good news received on 9th August :
“We are to receive another 300tl donation, kindly donated by the Little Kyrenia Society.
So to date we have nearly 700tl towards our minimum target of 1500TL with the evening fund raiser still to come.”
