BREAST CANCER AWARENESS DAY

“Help Those With Cancer Association/Tulips is raising awareness of breast cancer in the 
TRNC and have chosen Saturday 20th October 2012.
This month is ‘International Breast Cancer Awareness Month’ highlighting a disease which is still a long way from being eradicated but emphasising that early diagnosis increases the chances of survival enormously therefore support is needed ever more due to the number of people being diagnosed daily.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the TRNC, currently
we have seen 150 new cases this year alone and this is rising each year, as it is throughout Europe and the USA. Please do not think that this is a disease purely aimed at women, men are also diagnosed with breast cancer:
We are asking for EVERYONE to send a blank SMS message to 4171 (Turkcell and Telsim) which will automatically donate 5TL to the Tulips from your telephone bill (you are allowed to press this more than once ;-)!
