Jamie’s new additional Guitar Club will be at the Baroosh Bar in Alsancak every Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm. If you like music this is a good chance to learn a new skill.

From the 16^th November – Monday	KAR will be having a “Winter Sparkles” event at their Shop No. 1 (near the Fire Station) … Evening wear, accessories and some men’s evening wear will be on offer … New stock will be arriving all the time so if you don’t see what you want when you visit, please try again.
17^th to 21^st November Extended to Friday 27th November	Gulseven Coles will be having an exhibition of her paintings at the Eaved House in Nicosia … The opening was on the 17^th November and due to popular demand it has been extended to 27^th November.
26^th November – Thursday Note new time	Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy. Starting at 6.30pm you can enjoy The Sting (1973) …. 12TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn. There are also hot dogs and nachos available…. There will be a prize on the night for the best prop associated with the movie….To book call 0533 839 8764…
27^th November = Friday	Olive Press, Lapta from 1pm onwards – Final of the November Handicap followed by a Jacobs Joint buffet. … Watch the final and bring along a selection of finger food as we have a social afternoon celebrating with the winner!!
28^th November – Saturday	St Andrew’s Church….Christmas Fayre at the Church Hall …… 10am to 12noon…. Father Christmas will be there … Any donations for the stalls would be appreciated … For further information contact Win Smith on 0533 847 4104
28^th November – Saturday	Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak will be holding their Open Mic Night starting at 7.30pm … Meals available at 20TL .. To book contact Vicki on 0533 835 5133.
28^th November – Saturday	The Cyprus Caledonian Society present the St Andrews Gala Ball at the Deniz Kizi Hotel, Alsancak starting at 7pm … 4-course meal including all drinks – £40 for members and £45 for non-members … Dress – Black Tie …Tickets from FMA Office or Baroosh Bar, Alsancak … For further details call 0533 845 7296.
28^th November – Saturday	A Night at the Dogs in aid of KAR … At Club Tropicana, Ozankoy. … 10 dog races on the big screen and you can bet on one or all of them… The first race will start at 8pm … Meals will be available at 25TL with 5TL from each meal being donated to KAR .. Bets will be 5TL per dog per race …. Following the races you can also enjoy some music from Mr Smile.
28^th November – Saturday	Esentepe Football Club – Home match v Lapta TBSK at 2pm Esentepe Erdal Barut Stadium..
28^th November – Saturday	Dogankoy Community Association will be holding a fundraising cake sale starting at 10am at the Muhtarlik which will be to raise funds for the needy people of Tijuana, Mexico … A local resident will be taking the funds to Tijuana when he goes to give his help to these people.
30^th November – Monday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be having their last Quiz Night of the year at the Mountain View Hotel, Karaoglanoglu at 7.30pm … 15TL including supper … To book call Brenda on 0533 840 7834.
1^st and 2^nd December Tuesday and Wednesday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be having their 112 Christmas Singalong at the Mountain View Hotel, Karaoglanoglu starting at 7.30pm … 45TL per person including seasonal buffet supper .. To book contact Brenda on 0533 840 7834.
3^rd December – Thursday	The Fez in Catalkoy will be holding the popular Alternative Quiz at 7.30pm … The quiz will be in aid of KAR and if you would like to attend and give support please contact the Fez on 0533 867 1781 or Mick Prior on 0533 877 4537.

5^th December – Saturday	KAR will be having their Christmas Bazaar at Teachers Hotel in Girne starting at 11am … Always a great event to attend .. Any donations of unwanted gifts for the raffle would be appreciated and these can be dropped off at the KAR office in Karakum or at the Lambousa Saturday market.
6^th December – Sunday	Buyukkonuk Eco Village will be having an Olive Day event from 10am to 4pm … There will be local olives and olive products for sale and also villagers’ produce, bread, pastries, crafts etc .. Donkey rides for the children and music … A great day out for the family.
6^th December – Sunday	Esentepe Football Club – Away match v Yalova SK at 2pm Guzelyurt Zafer Stadium.

12^th December – Saturday	British Residents’ Society will be hold their annual Christmas Cheer event from 10am to 1pm at St Andrew’s Church Hall … Tea/coffee, mince pies and mulled wine available … George Ward of the Kyrenia Chamber Choir will be there for carol singing … You can also renew membership at the BRS desk on the day …

25^th December – Friday	Christmas Morning swim in aid of charity at Shayna Beach, Catalkoy, starting at 10am … The event will be in aid of KAR, NCCCT and Karakum Special Needs School … Turkish and English breakfasts will be available after the swim. Proceeds to the 3 charities … Even if you are not brave enough to swim, please try to go along and give support.
