I was born in the village of Lurucina/Akincilar. As a six year old my family migrated to the UK in 1962. We grew up in Highbury, London. I have 2 sons, 2 grandson and a grandchild on the way. My Interests and hobbies include Reading, collecting old books, studying History, painting mini figurines and collecting old Vinyl records.
By Ismail Veli……… ”It’s the fault of immigrants”, words we hear so often these days. It seems that everything and anything wrong in society is put down to immigration. Inadequate social services, ”blame the immigrants”, lack of funding in the national health service, ”Blame the immigrants”.
By Ismail Veli……. The USA has the largest economy and the most powerful military machine in human history. It’s supposed to lead the democratic western countries as a role model in democracy, human rights and freedom of speech and free global economic trade.
By Ismail Veli…….. The tiny Latin church of Aya Marina near Lurucina has been an interesting place for many people from Lurucina. Many even have picnics and often take friends to visit the site.
