Girne celebrated 19 May Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day
19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day was celebrated with a busy program in Girne Ancient Harbor this year. Within the scope of the organization of Girne Municipality, the events, which started with the opening of the stands at 12:00 on Monday, May 19, and continued until 22:00 in the evening, were held with intense participation.
For the first time this year, the events, which included many middle school and high school music and dance groups affiliated to Girne Regional schools, ended with Ahmet Evan’s final concert. Music and dance performances were held throughout the day, as well as local food and beverage stands.
In addition, Aydın University Faculty of Health Sciences students gave practical first aid #training to the citizens participating in the event.
WHO TOOK PART IN THE EVENT?
The May 19 celebrations started at 12:15 with the dance performance of Oğuz Veli Secondary School. Then, at 12:40, Dr. Suat Günsel Music Group took the stage, and at 13:10, Osman Nejat Konuk Secondary School Choir took the stage.
At 13:30, Girne American College Music Group and at 14:00 Tourism Vocational High School Anonhym’s Music Group met with the audience. At 14:20, Anafartalar High School’s folk dance show took place.
The events continued with Grup ODDA, who took the stage at 14:30. Then, at 15:45, the Doğa International School Russian Choir met with the audience, followed by the Doğa International School dance show at 16:00.
At 16:30, Grup Detone from 19 May TMK took the stage, and at 17:00, 19 May TMK’s Grup Cloverduser took the stage. At 17:15, the May 19 TMK Modern Dance Show took place.
The events continued with the English School of Kyrenia Music Group at 17:40 and the Group Super Nova at 18:15.
In the finale of the night, Niyal Öztürk performed at 18:45 and Ahmet Evan performed at 20:00.
