Gazimağusa Municipality Event On Elderly PERSONS Day

Gazimağusa Municipality Continues Its Social Municipality Services With Events Organized Specifically For The World Day Of Older Persons

On October 1, which was unanimously accepted as the World Day of Older Persons by the United Nations General Assembly on December 14, 1990, various activities were organized in Gazimağusa by emphasizing the importance of aging, which covers an important part of human life.

Gazimağusa Municipality, which carries out many studies for individuals aged 65 and over, who have a significant proportion in our society, to spend their lives more prosperous, modern, and peaceful, organized an event for the members of the Second Spring Life Club, which continues its activities under the umbrella of the Social Support Services Unit.

The Social Support Services Unit, which moved to its new building, held a wood painting activity with its members on this important day. This event aimed to encourage the participation of older individuals in social life, while at the same time keeping their minds active through artistic and creative activities.

The activities, which were specially launched for the World Day of Older Persons, will continue with a conversation workshop to be held on October 2 with the participation of the members of the Second Spring Life Club. In this event, it is aimed for the participants to share their memories, establish new friendships and strengthen their social ties through workshops.
