16th Girne Ozanköy Molasses Festival Concluded. Girne Arkın Group Fest24’ Continues

The 16th Girne Ozanköy Molasses Festival, the first event of the ‘Girne Arkın Group Fest24’ organized by Girne Municipality with the main sponsorship of Merit International, came to a spectacular end with a grand finale night.

The ‘Girne Arkın Group Fest24’ events continue apace.  The festival, which will continue until October 11th, comes to life at various points in Girne. In addition to the Girne Amphitheatre and Ramadan Cemil Square events, this year, Girne Ancient Harbour and the renovated Kordonboyu are also included in the festival. 

Spectacular Closure

The third and final night of the Ozankoy festival began at 19:00 with a children’s ballet dance performance by Dance Spot. While the ‘Molasses Desserts Competition’ submission and evaluation process started at 19:15, at the same time, the Çatalköy Esentepe Municipality Nostalgia Folk Dance Ensemble took the stage. At 19:30, world-renowned psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Vamık Cemal Volkan conducted a promotion and signing event for his latest book entitled “Looking at Our Outer World.” Following a performance by the Latin Trio Band at 19:45, the results of the ‘Molasses Desserts Competition’ were announced, and the final event of the night, the Bora Serbülent closing concert, started at 21:00.

September 3rd Program

The ‘Arkın Group Girne Fest24’, which will continue until October 11th, continued with a packed program on Tuesday, September 3rd. A cortege march starting at 19:00 from Ramadan Cemil Square ended at the Harbour. Afterwards, at 20:30, ‘The Cotton Club Dance Show’ performed at the Harbour Central Stage. The day  ended with a concert by the ‘Sonare Choir’ at 21:30, also at the Harbour Central Stage.

September 4th-5th Program

On September 4th, at 21:00 at the Girne Amphitheatre, the Istanbul State Theatres’ play “The Taming of the Shrew” will be staged with English and Russian subtitles. The first event on September 5th will be the ‘Give or Take’ dance performance at the Harbour Central Stage. Following this performance, at 20:30, Gizem Akbil and her Orchestra will take the stage again at the Harbour Central Stage.
