KAV Offers PhD and/or Postdoctoral Research Scholarship

Announcement from KAV, Cancer Research Foundation, for the 2024-25 Academic Year

The Cancer Research Foundation (KAV) has announced that starting from the 2024-25 academic year, it will offer a scholarship to an individual conducting PhD and/or postdoctoral research at universities in Northern Cyprus, with the aim of contributing to cancer research.

According to the statement from KAV, the scholarship will be awarded to support innovative research aimed at better understanding, treating, and preventing cancer. The scholarship aims to provide financial support to talented and dedicated researchers working in this important field, thereby contributing to the acceleration of scientific discoveries and innovations.

In a related statement, KAV President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Camgöz noted that the scholarships will be available for PhD and/or postdoctoral research in any area where cancer research is applied (such as molecular biology, cell biology, bioinformatics, environment, etc.) and are open to everyone, regardless of nationality. The statement also noted that individuals interested in the scholarship should submit the following documents by August 30, 2024, to KAV President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Camgöz at m.djamgoz@imperial.ac.uk:

Project proposal (in any cancer-related field)
Information about the laboratory/university in Northern Cyprus where the project will take place (university and laboratory details)
Information and official confirmation of the project supervisor
References (contact information, including email addresses, for 2 experts)
